Last updated: 26 August 2026
Article 1. Definitions & Applicability
1.1. These Terms of Service apply to any use of the Google Chrome extension ‘ClearAnalyser’ (hereinafter: “the Extension”), offered by the creator of ClearAnalyser (hereinafter: “the Maker”).
1.2. By installing, opening or using the Extension, the user (hereinafter: “the User”) agrees to these Terms of Service.
1.3. These terms apply to both the free base version and the paid premium features.
Article 2. No Investment Advice
2.1. The Extension provides purely informational, visual and analytical tools for gaining insight into portfolio data.
2.2. The Extension and the Maker explicitly do not provide financial, tax, legal or investment advice. No display, calculation or feature in the Extension should be interpreted as a recommendation to buy, sell or hold financial instruments.
2.3. The User remains at all times fully and solely responsible for their investment decisions and the financial outcomes thereof.
Article 3. Read-Only Functionality
3.1. The Extension is a ‘read-only’ (viewing and analysis) tool only.
3.2. The Extension does not execute any transactions, does not set up any automated orders and cannot transfer money on the DeGiro platform.
Article 4. Independence (Trademark Disclaimer)
4.1. ClearAnalyser is an independent product of the Maker.
4.2. The Extension is in no way affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by or approved by DeGiro B.V. or its subsidiaries.
Article 5. Minimum Age & Legal Capacity
5.1. The User declares to be at least 18 years old and legally competent to enter into a binding agreement.
Article 6. Subscriptions, Payments & Price Changes
6.1. Premium features are purchased via a monthly or annual subscription. Payment is made in advance via the designated payment provider.
6.2. The Maker has the right to adjust subscription prices. Price changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance. If the User does not agree with a price increase, the User has the right to cancel the subscription free of charge before the effective date.
Article 7. Exclusion of Right of Withdrawal
7.1. When taking out a premium subscription, the User expressly agrees that delivery of the digital service begins immediately.
7.2. The User hereby acknowledges that the statutory right of withdrawal (the 14-day cooling-off period) lapses as soon as delivery of the premium features has started.
Article 8. Cancellation & Automatic Renewal
8.1. The User may cancel a subscription at any time, effective at the end of the current subscription period. No interim (pro-rata) refunds are given.
8.2. In accordance with Dutch consumer law (the “Wet Dam”), annual subscriptions are tacitly renewed after the first fixed subscription period, but from that point on can always be cancelled monthly.
Article 9. Anti-Circumvention, Security & Fair Use
9.1. The User is prohibited from decompiling, copying, redistributing the source code, or circumventing paywall or license checks.
9.2. In the event of misuse or attempted circumvention, the Maker reserves the right to block access to the Extension immediately and without refund.
Article 10. Dependence on Third Parties (DeGiro)
10.1. The functioning of the Extension depends on the code, interface and accessibility of the DeGiro B.V. platform.
10.2. If the Extension (temporarily) stops working due to updates, changes or blocks initiated by DeGiro, this does not constitute a breach of contract by the Maker and does not give rise to any right to a refund. The Maker will make reasonable efforts to release a compatible update.
Article 11. Dependence on Google & Browsers
11.1. The Maker is not liable for the unavailability of the Extension resulting from policy changes, API changes, technical malfunctions, or removal of the Extension from the Google Chrome Web Store.
Article 12. Privacy, No Data Backup & Local Storage
12.1. The Extension processes portfolio data locally within the User’s browser. Login credentials and financial data are not stored on the Maker’s servers.
12.2. Local data storage is at the User’s own risk. Clearing the browser cache, uninstalling the Extension, or local data loss does not give rise to any right to data recovery.
12.3. The processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Acceptance of these terms also constitutes agreement with the Privacy Policy.
Article 13. Liability & ‘As Is’
13.1. The Extension is provided on an ‘as-is’ and ‘as-available’ basis, without any warranty of error-free or uninterrupted operation.
13.2. The Maker is not liable for indirect damages, incorrectly displayed data, calculation errors, bugs or financial losses arising from use of the Extension.
13.3. For paying Users, the Maker’s total direct liability is limited to a maximum of the amount the User paid in subscription fees in the 12 months preceding the incident causing the damage. For free Users, liability is nil.
Article 14. Uptime, No SLA & Force Majeure
14.1. The Maker gives no guarantees regarding continuous availability or response times. Disruptions at suppliers (such as payment providers, hosting parties or Google) qualify as force majeure.
Article 15. Support & Assistance
15.1. Support is provided on a reasonable-efforts (‘best effort’) basis via digital channels (such as GitHub or email), without any guarantee of response time or a definitive resolution.
Article 16. Changes to These Terms
16.1. The Maker reserves the right to amend these terms. Amended terms will be communicated in a timely manner via the Extension or the documentation page. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
Article 17. Intellectual Property & Discontinuation
17.1. All intellectual property rights to the Extension rest with the Maker.
17.2. The Maker may discontinue the offering of the Extension at any time. In the event of permanent discontinuation, any ongoing subscription payments will be cancelled.
Article 18. Severability Clause
18.1. Should any provision of these terms prove to be void or voidable, the remaining provisions will remain fully in force. The void provision will be replaced by a valid provision that most closely approximates the purpose of the original article.
Article 19. Prices and Currency
19.1. All stated rates are in Euros (€).
Article 20. System Requirements & Compatibility
